Exceptional antique Dutch tile panel depicting a Greyhound, made in Utrecht around 1860.
This charming six-tile panel features a finely drawn and unusually elegant seated greyhound wearing a decorative blue and yellow collar. The restrained palette of soft purple, blue, yellow and black against the white ground gives the panel a particularly refined and graphic appearance.
The six original tiles are professionally mounted on a sturdy modern conservation panel, making the piece stable and ready to display. It can be hung directly on the wall, or the panel can be recessed into a wall for a more built-in appearance.
A particularly decorative piece for a collector of Dutch tiles, antique ceramics, animal subjects or architectural antiques.
