Up for sale is a rare and exceptionally beautiful Victorian antique harlequin set of demitasse espresso cups and saucers produced by the renowned Edwin J.D. Bodley at the Crown Works in Burslem, England. Active for less than two decades (1875–1892), Bodley pieces are highly sought after by collectors of the English Aesthetic Movement.
This striking harlequin grouping features fine porcelain construction decorated with intricate, uniform black lace-like transferware borders, contrasted by vibrant individual color bands (pink, rose, red, yellow, and blue) finished with delicate gold gilt rimming.

There are no spider cracks, crazing, or chips on the pristine pieces. The glaze remains bright and the gold accents show minimal wear. Every piece features the official \"Edwin J.D. Bodley Burslem\" trademark stamp on the base.
