Antique Fern Bisel Peat Tin Litho Child’s Watering Can Garden Toy 1920s

Charming antique child’s tin lithographed watering can featuring a colorful garden illustration signed by noted American children’s illustrator Fern Bisel Peat.
The scene depicts a young child kneeling among oversized flowers, rendered in Peat’s distinctive storybook style. The can has a turquoise-blue top and handle, cream-colored spout, and a red-and-yellow sprinkler rose. A wonderful early gardening toy with crossover appeal for collectors of antique tin toys, children’s book illustration, and Fern Bisel Peat memorabilia.
The cylindrical body measures approximately 4.25 inches tall, not including the upper carrying handle. Please review the photographs for the overall dimensions and proportions.
Condition:
Antique, played-with condition with scattered scratches, small paint losses, surface wear, oxidation, and discoloration consistent with age. There is visible oxidation inside the can and wear along the handles, spout, rims, and sprinkler rose. The lithographed illustration remains bright and attractive, and the Fern Bisel Peat signature is clearly visible. No claims are made regarding watertightness or present-day functionality. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
