Ornate antique gesso-over-wood frame with heavy gilt finish, scrolling acanthus and shell motifs, carved mask/face medallions at the corners, and an arched crest top. Bubble (convex) glass intact and unbroken. Overall size 20.5\" x 13.25\"; picture opening 9\" x 15\". Frame shows significant gesso loss and flaking at the crest, corners, and edges (visible bare wood in several spots) — this is a fragile antique frame with notable condition wear, not a \"near mint\" piece. Includes a vintage hand-tinted photographic portrait of a man and woman, circa 1940s style, matting/glass shows some age haze.
