Charming pair of vintage miniature Scandinavian knives, believed to be from Sweden / the Särna region of Dalarna.
Both knives feature pale antler/bone-style handles and small steel blades. One handle is hand-inscribed “Särna”, Sweden.
The more decorative knife includes its unusual fitted sheath, constructed from pale carved/engraved material with traditional geometric decoration and a brown leather upper section. The second knife has a distinctive angular carved handle and a tiny stamped symbol on the blade.
Approximately 4 inches long each, as shown against the tape measure in the photographs.
These appear to be examples of Scandinavian/Lapland folk handicraft or souvenir work. I have not been able to identify an individual maker, so they are not being represented as authenticated Sámi-made pieces.
Vintage condition with age-related wear, marks, discoloration and patina. Please examine photographs carefully for exact condition.
