Antique H.L. Judd #9776 Art Nouveau Owl Expandable Book Rack Cast Iron Brass For Sale

Beautiful antique H.L. Judd No. 9776 expandable owl book rack, dating to approximately 1910–1920.This unusual piece features detailed cast-metal owl ends surrounded by an Art Nouveau-inspired floral and foliate design. The two ends are connected by telescoping metal rods, allowing the rack to expand to accommodate a collection of books. The 9776 model number is visible on the owl.The rack measures approximately 15 inches when extended as photographed.It remains in antique, unrestored condition with its naturally aged patina. There is surface wear, oxidation, discoloration and variation in the finish consistent with a piece more than 100 years old. I have not polished or refinished it.
