Antique Halloween Postcard S. Bergman 1912 Pumpkin Heads Black Cat Candle For Sale

Original embossed Halloween postcard. The back carries the "S. Bergman N.Y. 1912" copyright mark, and the front shows design no. 7035. Two jack-o'-lantern heads wear a top hat and a ribbon bonnet, with a black cat peeking over an "A Happy Hallowe'en be yours" banner, plus a candlestick and an apple. It has an orange border.Postally used, with a Hudson, Mass. cancel dated Oct 16, 1925 and a 2¢ red Washington stamp. It is addressed to Mrs. Edith Fuller, Marlow, N.H., c/o Ollie Carpenter, with a pencil message signed "Junior." The 1912 date is the copyright date; this card was mailed in 1925.Condition: Good to very good. It has light corner and edge wear and light toning, with no creases seen. Please view all photos.
