Antique Henry Disston D-20 26” 8 Point Crosscut Hand Saw Carved Handle c1920s:
$119.99

Antique Henry Disston & Sons D-20 Lightweight Pattern hand saw, dating to approximately the 1917–1927 period.

This is the desirable narrow-blade skew-back D-20, measuring approximately 26 inches at the blade and having approximately 8 points per inch crosscut teeth. The original blade etching remains visible, including the Henry Disston & Sons keystone trademark, D-20 designation, and Henry Disston script.

Features an attractive carved and polished applewood handle with extensive wheat/foliate carving, five brass fasteners including the small 13/16-inch DISSTON / PHILA medallion, and the earlier pre-1928 handle configuration.

Period Disston documentation confirms that the 26” D-20 was offered with 7–11 point crosscut teeth and describes it as a lightweight skew-back saw with a carved applewood handle and brass screws.

Condition

Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Blade shows oxidation, staining, scratches and surface discoloration from approximately a century of use and storage. Original blade etching remains surprisingly visible. Handle shows normal scratches, finish wear and handling marks but retains attractive carving and appears solid in the photographs. Brass hardware and original Disston medallion remain present.

No attempt has been made to polish or restore the blade. Please review all photographs closely for condition. Sold as pictured.
