Original antique cast iron grave marker stake from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.). Features the classic three-link chain symbol representing Friendship, Love, and Truth, in an openwork design with a long tapered ground spike.
This style was used at member graves in the late 1800s to early 1900s and was driven directly into the ground rather than mounted on a stone. Heavy iron with authentic age, corrosion, and cemetery patina from long outdoor use.
Excellent piece for collectors of fraternal organizations, cemetery markers, Odd Fellows material, or Victorian-era grave artifacts.
