Stunning antique Jean Pouyat Limoges porcelain pitcher dating to approximately 1890–1902.
This elegant French pitcher features large hand-painted pink roses surrounded by green leaves against soft blue, lavender, and ivory shading. The upper portion, sculpted handle, and foot are richly decorated with gold gilding.
The underside bears the worn but recognizable green “J.P. / L / France” mark used by Jean Pouyat of Limoges, France. Its rounded body, flowing floral decoration, and heavy gold accents make it a striking example of late Victorian or early Art Nouveau porcelain.
A wonderful display piece for collectors of antique Limoges porcelain, hand-painted floral china, or French decorative art.
