A highly sculptural and visually commanding Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) figural cornucopia vase, attributed to the Teplitz (Amphora-type) workshops of Austria, circa 1900–1910.
The form is dramatic and fluid, featuring a sweeping horn-shaped vessel supported by an ornate base and a fantastical griffin-like creature — part lion, part dragon — climbing the body. The creature is finely modeled with wings, claws, and scaled detailing, creating a strong sense of movement and tension throughout the piece.
The base incorporates elaborate scrolling ornamentation and a gilt lion mask, adding depth and contrast to the composition. The surface decoration is particularly distinctive, combining warm ivory tones with bronze-like patinated finishes, gilded accents, and turquoise enamel-style detailing — a hallmark of Austrian Jugendstil ceramics from the Teplitz region.
The piece is unmarked, which is not uncommon for export or workshop production of this type. However, the weight, construction, finish, and decorative elements clearly align with Teplitz / Amphora-type Continental art pottery of the early 20th century.
