Up for sale/sale is a rare, authentic matching pair of antique 19th-century KPM Berlin (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) porcelain cabinet cups. These are classic collector's pieces, highly sought-after as "Ansichtstassen" (view cups).
Each cup features incredibly detailed, hand-painted European topographical scenic views framed by heavy gold gilt accents and ornate scroll handles.
The red roof building depicted on this side of the KPM Berlin cup is the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) of Potsdam, Germany, located on the Alter Markt (Old Market Square). The other depicts the Charlottenhof Palace (Schloss Charlottenhof), located in the park of Sanssouci in Potsdam, Germany.
