Genuine antique pair of early pliers featuring an identified LODI pair and a matching Bernard/Schollhorn patent-style specialty plier.
The left-hand pliers are clearly marked “LODI” and have the distinctive early cutting/plier construction.
The right-hand pliers are unmarked for brand, but feature the distinctive W. A. Bernard / William Schollhorn patented design, including the large circular cutting/opening mechanism. The visible patent markings correspond to the September 25, 1894 Bernard patent and November 6, 1900 reissue/renewal markings associated with this family of tools.
Both are approximately 6 inches long and show considerable age, oxidation, surface rust, wear and patina consistent with their age and previous use.
