We are happy to offer for your consideration a lovely heavy weight Metis hand made lace edged sheet from Belgium. This top sheet is made out of a mix of linen and cotton. It has hand made Belgian Bobbin lace on the top edge. It measures 80” inches wide by 105 inches long.
It is medium - heavy weight sheet crisp and cool. It is made of one solid piece of fabric and would be wonderful for a project. It has a slight grain to the weave, but it is not very nubby or slubbie.
This fabric is perfect for upholstery or curtains and grapes. It would also work very well as a tablecloth.
It is country and primitive and very French -Belgian. A sheet like this would have been used as a top sheet.
It does not look to have been used very much and it’s still quite sturdy with a lot of life left in it.
