Up for sale is an authentic mid-19th century hand-colored stone lithograph titled \"Maternal Piety\", originally published by Nathaniel Currier (c. 1845-1855). This classic Victorian scene depicts a mother with her infant and a child kneeling in prayer, featuring a verse adapted from Ann Taylor\'s 1804 poem My Mother.
The piece features original hand-applied watercolor washes in soft blue, pink, and yellow hues over fine lithographic line work.

Mounting: The print is permanently mounted/glued to a vintage mat board from a previous framing job. It cannot be separated without damage and is attached to the mat.
Antique pre-owned condition. Paper exhibits notable surface scraping, paper thinning, and wear along the lower title margin which obscures the original publisher mprint text. The main central artwork retains solid impression lines and original hand coloring. Presented mounted in a neutral tan matte board. Age toning and texture visible on backing paper.
