Antique Peerless Roto Beam 16\" Propeller Mid Century Vintage Electric Fan. Runs For Sale

Fresh from an estate is a scarce antique fan manufactured by the Roto Beam Corporation, a division of Peerless of America, and both companies were headquartered in Chicago. This fan was produced shortly after Peerless acquired Roto Beam in 1941 and is very unique because of the \"Peerless Roto Beam\" tag on the side of the base. Fans badged Peerless Roto Beam are quite scarce.
This fan is the Model D-16 and features Roto Beam\'s distinctive and patented five blade design made of cast aluminum. The fan is wonderful example of mid century machine age design.
Cosmetic ConditionThe fan is all original (save the cord and new plug) and has significant wear, including substantial paint loss, scrapes, scuffs and oxidation throughout the fan. A couple of cage wires are slightly bent and have come loose from one of their soldering points. The cord from the motor to the base is original and cracking in several places. The blades are in excellent condition. Please see the many pictures to visually inspect the fan\'s cosmetic condition.
Operating ConditionThe fan is a plug and play (immediately starts when plugged in) and it runs smoothly and puts out an impressive breeze.
DimensionsThe fan features 16\'\' diameter blades. The fan\'s height is 21\", width is 19.75\", and depth is 10\".
Please note: in some photos there may be a very faint vertical yellow-ish line on the left third of the photo. This is an issue with the camera, the line is not evident on the fan!
The fan will be expertly packed - it will be securely wrapped with 2-3 layers of bubble-wrap, double-boxed, and very securely packed. Because of its large size, shipping will run a bit higher.
