Up for sale is a fantastic piece of early American advertising history: an original 5 lb. Garland Blend Coffee tin pail. Styled like a classic miniature cream can, this bulk coffee container features a wire bale carrying handle with its original black wooden grip.
The front showcases the gorgeous, iconic blue-and-white striped "Garland Blend Coffee" branding. The reverse side features the classic Sears, Roebuck & Co. customer satisfaction grocery guarantee and return policy.
Features & Condition:
- Graphics: The blue litho wrap retains bright, bold color with excellent contrast. Very readable.
- Hardware: Original bale wire handle and turned wood grip are intact and sturdy.
- Deficiencies: Missing the top cap/lid.
- Patina: Displays authentic age wear, including surface rust on the upper shoulder/neck and heavy rust/corrosion across the bottom underside (see photos). No major structural dents or compromises to the main body.
Measurements: Approximately 9.5" tall (excluding handle) and 6.5" in diameter at the base.
