An antique Victorian Christmas greeting booklet, still tied with its original silk cord. The cover is embossed cream card with deckle edges, sprays of blue forget-me-nots and gilt script reading Yuletide Greetings.
Inside are illustrated verse spreads about holly, frost and the season, one of them showing children in bonnets and pinafores skipping rope beside a holly verse, plus a title spread. It is a small, complete keepsake of the kind given in place of a card around the turn of the century.
Condition is good for its age. There is toning and light foxing to the card, softening at the deckle edges, and the ribbon is faded and creased, but all pages are present and the cord is intact. Please see all photos, which are part of the description.
