Antique/Vintage African Sudanese Tribal Dagger Carved Wood Head Handle Ethnic For Sale

Antique or vintage African curved blade dagger with a carved wooden human head with tribal headless serving as handle. Blade appears to be iron with a surface rust patina and interesting decorations. Blade is 9 inches long and 2.25 inches wide just below handle. While trying to find a picture of a similar knife on line, I found a sword, said to be Sudanese, with similar decorations but the blade was long and straight. That is why I think it might be Sudanese. The carved head appears to be definitely African to me. It has a well made leather scabbard with some age deterioration, but I would think the knife is older if not for the scabbard condition. I still believe this dates from mid to early 20th century, but perhaps knowledgeable ers can better assess the age and tribe of origin. I bought a small group of similar daggers from estate of an elderly man who had worked and traveled in Africa, Asia, and South America and who could undoubtedly provide much history if he were still with us. I think this is a nice piece of African ethnic folk art. The handle appears to be held on with a red resin and is quite solid.
