An antique Virol stoneware advertising jar from the late 19th or early 20th century. In excellent condition, it is a two-tone glazed ceramic pot with the brand name \"Virol\" embossed in cursive on the front. 12.5cm tall, with a diameter of 8cm. Virol was a popular British medicinal food supplement made from bone marrow, fat, and malt extract. It was commonly prescribed for children and invalids to build strength.
