Vintage original black-and-white photograph lot featuring Yosemite National Park, California, believed to date from approximately the 1920s–1930s.
This collection includes 11 original photographs showing various Yosemite scenes, including waterfalls, rocky landscapes, wooded areas, tourists and hikers, swimming scenes, and particularly interesting photographs featuring bears with visitors.
Several of the photographs are printed on vintage VELOX photographic paper.
Also included is the original Palace Drug Co. photo envelope from the Monterey/Carmel, California area. The envelope has handwritten wording that appears to read “Monterey + Yosemite.” It is heavily worn, torn, and incomplete but is included because it provides interesting historical context and provenance to the group.
The photographs appear to have been kept together as part of the same vintage California/Yosemite travel collection.
Condition: Pre-owned antique/vintage condition with age-related wear, toning, minor curling, marks, and other signs of age. The Palace Drug Co. envelope is in fragile, heavily distressed condition with tears and missing portions. Please review all photos carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.
