This is the original version of the No 39 Trophy Whist deck that had custom courts. Still has the squatty USPCC Ace of Spades. Only made from 1895 to 1899 when they changed the courts to a more traditional version. These are much better.
This back design is called Arabian. Cards are smooth finish, since the deck predates Air Cushion.
All 52 cards present and accounted for. Smooth finish on the cards, and they still handle pretty well.
