Antique Islamic prayer beads and parts
Provenance : 50 years ago I worked in Hong Kong. I used to go to something called the Midnight Jade Market. I saw these resin artifacts and I didnt know what they were but I thought they were beautiful and I never saw 2 the same so I started a little collection. I know now they are parts ( one is a whole rosary) of Islamic prayer beads. The long beads are called ALIF or Iman. these might be made from from resin, amber, bakelite, futuran. Some beads have burns see pics. I bought them in Hong Kong but they could be from any Ottoman Empire country. Lot includes 15 long beads( Alifs?) and 18 loose round beads ( Danas? Habb?) and other beads strung. If you collect these tell me more.
