Up for sale is a beautiful antique pair of 19th-century French "Old Paris" (Porcelaine de Paris) Rococo Revival mantel vases. Dating back to the mid-to-late 1800s, these feature a dramatic flared four-lobed horn silhouette, hand-painted central floral bouquets, and heavily sculpted acanthus leaves accented by brushed gold-gilt trim.
While they make stunning, high-end decorator or cabinet pieces, this pair is being offered AS-IS with a noted structural repair, priced to clear.
Condition Details (Please Read Honestly):
• Base/Footing Repair: One of the vases has an old, visible composite/epoxy reconstruction on one of its lower corner scroll feet. There is a loss of the original gold gilt overlay in this repaired area (please see the dedicated macro close-up photo for the exact detail). The vase still sits sturdy and upright.
• General Wear: Light, expected age-appropriate wear to the gold-gilt accents along the high-relief molding and scalloped top rims. No other major cracks, chips, or hidden restorations found.
• This set is priced drastically down to account for the footing repair. Please review all high-resolution photos carefully before purchasing, as they accurately depict the condition of both pieces.
Ships securely double-boxed and heavily padded with premium bubble wrap to protect the remaining structure during transport. Selling as-is, final sale. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
