It helps the kimono sit perfectly and keeps the child are some light aging spots (small faint stains) on the front of the Hiifu coat, as shown in the last photo. They are typical for vintage/used kimonos and are not very noticeable from a distance. The embroidery remains beautiful and the overall set is in good condition for Polyester.
Unlike silk, it is very durable and easy to handle. You can easily clean it if it gets a little dirty, making it perfect for active children and photo shoots.
