Authentic Baule Carved Wood Tribal Mask Ivory Coast Côte d\'Ivoire West Africa.This old Baule carved wood tribal mask is a traditional handcrafted artifact from the Baule people of Côte d\'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). It has a stylized serene face, serrated crest, and a textured beaded-effect border, finished in a reddish-orange polychrome. The reverse is deeply hollow-carved by hand, with visible adze/tool marks throughout, a smoke-blackened patina, and two small oval eye-sight openings; the interior surface shows the kind of smoothed, worn patina. Cracking and paint loss to the painted face, and chipping to the rim reveal the wood beneath the orange pigment. This mask was created to connect with the spirit world, honor ancestors, and preserve community harmony. The mask measures approximately 10.25\" long by 6.25\" wide.
