it\'s been used so there is honest wear as shown in the pictures. Each patch was hand sewn with another pattern over the top which was also hand sewn with plenty of evidence to support that.
The amount of time it takes to make one of these could never be compensated fairly. They can take 200-600 or even more \"man hours\" to make one of these, but the first offer that\'s worth driving to town to ship it will get this super comfortable quilt.
It\'s soft and light, and reminds me of my baby blanket.
I\'m thinking of putting together a group of three or four of these with a bulk price. What do you guys think?
I have several of these from the 70s and 80s all handmade and some are completely handsewn. Please feel free to make any offer, suggestion, or request. Minnie\'s daughter\'s and granddaughter still make these, but they\'re a little pricier. Quilting is such an underrated skill, but it is not a lost art. I would like to see these works survive in the hands, and over the legs and couches of people who love old quilts. it really is more about the drive to town than the cost of the quilts, so any reasonable offer will surely be accepted.
