Authentic Vintage 1970s Montblanc S-Line Slim Gold Ballpoint Pen Modern Fit
Authentic Vintage 1970s Montblanc S-Line Slim Fluted Gold Ballpoint Pen
An authentic vintage 1970s Montblanc S-Line ballpoint pen—the celebrated predecessor to the Noblesse series—finished in elegant Vertical Fluted Gold Plating. Designed with a slender architectural profile, crisp push-button mechanism, and the iconic Montblanc star emblems. Most importantly, this model requires NO adapter and natively accommodates standard modern Montblanc ballpoint refills for immediate daily use.
◆ Modern Refill Compatibility & Writing Verification
- Native Modern Refill Fit: Unlike many vintage ballpoints that demand rare, discontinued adapters, this S-Line pen natively takes modern Montblanc ballpoint refills without modifications.
- Push-Button Action: Tested and working smoothly—firm, crisp extension and positive retraction mechanism.
- Immediate Readiness: Installed with a working ballpoint refill and verified for clean, consistent ink laydown.
◆ Specifications & Design Attributes
- Brand: Montblanc (Made in Germany)
- Model: S-Line Slimline Ballpoint Pen (1970s Era)
- Finish: Fluted Gold Plating with refined vertical linear engravings.
- Emblems: Montblanc White Star icons inlaid on the push button and clip surface.
- Hallmark: Factory engraved hallmark on the clip section.
◆ Condition Report & Honest Cosmetic Disclosure
- Overall Rating: Very Good Vintage Functional Condition.
- Cosmetic Disclosure: Features a tiny, minor cosmetic ding/pinhead dent on the backside near the pen tip nose cone (clearly documented in high-resolution macro photos). It does not affect writing balance or refill movement in any way.
- Gold Plating: Rich gold brilliance throughout with only light micro-hairlines consistent with age. No peeling or heavy brassing.
- Mechanism: 100% fully functional with strong internal spring tension.
◆ Included Items
- 1x Authentic Vintage 1970s Montblanc S-Line Gold Ballpoint Pen
- 1x Working Ballpoint Refill (installed and ready to use)
- (Note: Display pen rest and measuring tools shown in demonstration photos are for scale/presentation only and NOT included.)
✒️ Authenticity & Vintage Specifications
Every vintage fountain pen at Maison RiSara is thoroughly inspected, ultrasonically cleaned, fully serviced, tuned, and authenticated. We guarantee 100% genuine vintage craftsmanship.
- Vintage Imprints & Clips: Pre-1990s models were originally manufactured WITHOUT modern markings (such as "Pix", individual serial numbers, or laser etchings under the clip, which were introduced post-1997). In addition, 1960s 2-digit models (No. 12, 14, 22, 24) and early 1980s models originally have blank clip rings/undersides. These are authentic historical factory specifications.
- Period-Correct Parts: Vintage ebonite feeds, nib hallmarks (14C / 18C mono-tone or two-tone), and resin characteristics naturally exhibit unique historical finishes distinct from modern production pens.
