Up for sale: a large-format B-2 Spirit stealth bomber display model, approximately 20" wingspan × 8" body length (consistent with 1/100 scale), with printed USAF markings, unit insignia, and serial number (USAF 21066).
Provenance: This model comes from the personal collection of a NASA test pilot who played a role in developing tilt-rotor aircraft technology — the program that ultimately led to the V-22 Osprey. It has remained in the family since his ownership.
The model is mounted on its original clear Lucite/acrylic display stand, engraved with the official "United States Air Force ★ Northrop Grumman ★ B-2 Team" insignia — the star-and-flying-wing logo used on official program commemorative pieces connected to the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber program.
The model also bears a handwritten signature in silver marker on the left wing. Given the model's provenance from a NASA test pilot's personal collection, the signature may be connected to colleagues, program officials, or others in the aerospace/test-pilot community — however, I'm not able to independently identify the signer and the test pilot does not remember who signed the model.
