BELGIAN ORDER OF LEOPOLD GRAND OFFICERS BREAST STAR (2nd CLASS), CASED, ORIGINAL For Sale

This is an original breast star for a Grand Officer grade in the Order of Leopold (Dutch: Leopoldsorde, French: Ordre de Léopold), Belgium\'s oldest and highest national order of knighthood.
The Grand Officier is the second-highest class of the order.It is an eight-pointed faceted silver star featuring an enameled central medallion. The medallion showsa gold-relief Belgian lion on a black enamel background, encircled by a dark red ring inscribed with the national motto—\"L\'UNION FAIT LA FORCE\" and \"EENDRACHT MAAKT MACHT\" (\"Unity is Strength\").
It is made by Belgian jewelers P. De Greef as seen on the reverse and in the box. It is made of 999 silver again shown on the breast star and weighs approximately 150 grams. Interestingly P. De Greef sells this exact breast star on its website for 1450.00 euros.
The condition is excellent EF as seen in the pictures.
