Vintage ceramic souvenir building bank of the wedge-shaped Brooklyn Savings Bank, made by Contemporary Ceramics of New Jersey in the 1960's.
This building bank is cast in a glazed grey ceramic depicting the sleek Mid-century Modern architecture of the triangular building. One side is embossed "THE BROOKLYN SAVINGS BANK IN THE CIVIC CENTER". The coin slot is on top, and the oval trap is on the bottom - the rubber plug is missing.
It measures 3" tall by 6" long by 3.5" wide and weighs 1 lb.
The real building was built in 1962 and is still standing.
