Beautiful James (Jim) Whitehead Custom Fixed Blade Knife Called The Rhino, Unused. The blade and metal part of the handle were engraved by Jim, the scale was engraved by Bob Hergert. The knife was designed to stand on the legs and look a little bit like a Rhino.
I acquired the knife in Oregon at the big Oregon Knife Club Show. The knife maker is deceased. He was a jewelry maker who also made custom miniature knives and would set up at the Oregon Show. I was told Jim would set up his engraving equipment and work on knives at the show.
The show used to be a big gathering place for miniature knife collectors. I was able to meet mini knife dealers selling Jim's knives and even the gentleman that engraved the scales on this knife last year. It’s an amazing piece and would be a great addition to your collection!
