The Benchmade 535-09 is one of the more distinctive premium versions of the Bugout, pairing a CPM-S90V blade with Benchmade\'s newer two-piece handle construction. An aluminum frame with integrated bolsters gives the knife a more solid, premium feel, while Redstone Richlite onlays add some warmth and character you don\'t get from the standard synthetic Bugout handles.
You still get everything that makes the Bugout such a good EDC knife—the slim profile, AXIS® lock, amofferextrous operation, and excellent cutting geometry—but in a considerably more dressed-up configuration. S90V brings excellent edge retention, while the combination of aluminum and Richlite makes this one stand out from the sea of standard Bugouts.
