CHICAGO RAPID TRANSIT RAILROAD REAR MARKER LAMP A&W WITH RED & GREEN FLIP LENSES.Manufactured by Adams & Westlake, this lamp is not marked for road, but was used by the CRTCo, the Chicago Rapid Transit Company, as a tight clearance marker lamp (thanks to a knowledgeable collector on the area). Some old surface rust and wear, but has one single glass replacement lens present, the bail, original Adams & Westlake fuel font with the correct burner and end of the adjuster marked for maker, and the internal red and green toggle lenses that function. The bottom is very unique with the cast iron base evident of the CRT's usage in the tight underground tunnel clearances where two trains would pass on the tight double track.
