Chickadees are abundant in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, particularly on Mt Rose Hwy near the Pacific Coast Trail and Lake Tahoe Rim Trail. In the winter, you can walk into the forest and hold out your hand with seed, and the chickadees will fly down from the trees and eat from our hand. It\'s a Narnia type experience, and I highly recommend it.
