Description
Fine Cactus Amethyst Spirit Quartz specimen from the Magaliesberg Mountain Range, South Africa, one of the classic localities associated with Spirit Quartz.
The specimen displays several larger pale-lavender amethyst points covered by dense generations of smaller sparkling quartz crystals, creating the distinctive cactus or porcupine crystal habit for which South African Spirit Quartz is known.
Soft lavender, pale pink, cream and warm golden tones run throughout the crystal growth, with excellent sparkle across the numerous small terminations. The specimen has attractive three-dimensional form and can be appreciated from multiple viewing angles.
Mounted on a bevelled glass display base, making it ready for cabinet, shelf or mineral collection display.
