Condition Notes: Used but decent overall condition. Jigged Delrin scales are intact with no major chips or cracks; pins remain solid. Nickel-silver bolsters and brass liners are clean and tight. Both blades show light surface wiping/use scratches but retain full profiles and proper shape. Snap is present on both blades with no significant play. No original box or paperwork. Description & History
Camillus Cutlery Company was founded in 1876 in Camillus, New York, and grew into one of America’s most prolific pocket-knife makers. For more than a century the company supplied high-volume traditional patterns to the U.S. market while also producing military and contract knives.
In the 1990s Camillus introduced the Classic Cartridge Series, embedding real spent (inert) cartridge headstamps into the handle scales of selected patterns. The C-5 is the trapper version featuring a brass .30-06 Springfield headstamp. These Delrin-handled examples offered an affordable, durable alternative to the limited bone-handled CCC series and remain popular with both traditional knife collectors and firearms enthusiasts.
A straightforward, honest example of late-production Camillus quality with the distinctive cartridge feature that makes these knives stand out.
