The woman on the left is wearing a coat with a fur collar, a cloche hat, and white gloves, holding a small handbag. The woman on the right is wearing a dark coat with a fur collar, a dark hat, a pearl necklace, and is holding a folded newspaper and a small beaded bag. In the background, a large airship or dirigible is visible, along with several other people, including military personnel.

The reverse has a typed paper slip attached that reads 'WATCH YOUR CREDIT PHOTO FROM WIDE WORLD PHOTOS'. The slip continues with the caption 'THE REWARD FOR BRINGING BACK THE NEW GIANTESS OF THE AIR Captain George W. Steele, Jr., is greeted by his wife and mother, Mrs George W. Steele Sr., on arriving at the Lakehurst, N.J., hangar. Captain Steele was the American commander of the new dirigible and is now Commanding officer of the Lakehurst Field. 10/15/24'.
