Chinese Cobalt Blue Porcelain Covered Pot – 3 Boys Joy & Prosperity, Auspicious6\"
This porcelain pot wears its cobalt cloak like twilight, luminous with painted blossoms and a lid crowned in red blessings. Three small boys tumble in laughter across its white surface, their robes vivid in yellow, red, and green — figures long treasured in Chinese tradition as emblems of joy, prosperity, and promise.
The cover whispers the characters 吉慶 — “Auspicious Celebration” — a phrase meant to summon good fortune into the home. Though made in the 20th century, it carries the spirit of older porcelains, marrying usefulness with a painter’s devotion. A vessel not only for the table, but for happiness itself.
