#9 of ourrefurbished on these models was made on February 1970. The housing is mostlyintact except for the bottom carving that it was broken in 2 pieces but we glueit together and well, can you see where?. This one is mostly original partsexcept for bellow tops the weights and the pendulum which are new. We made thesawhorse and the wood on the axed man. All metals including the 1 day movementand music box were sonically cleaned then oiled. One of the paddles on thewatermill was missing but we also repair it. We also applied wood glue internallyto keep the housing tight for another 56 years. We also added the little sheep’son the bottom carving was glued in place but with soft glue. After completeassembly we test run it for 4 days. The music plays an unknown melody at thetop of every hour as the man chops wood (the click click you hear when themusic is playing is by design, it simply resemble the sound of the axed man ashe’s cutting the wood) and the waterwheel turns. The clock overall measurementsis about 12 inches high by 10 inches across and 5 inches deep. Comes with ourcertificate and easy set-up instructions with a 3 paged article about Cuckooclock origins.
