This was a Cold War inspectable item for all Department ofDefense personnel to have on their person at all times in Europe. Card showswhat a SMLM license plate looks like, gives detailed instructions on; 1.Detaining the vehicle and occupants and 2. Reporting a sighting with fulldetails. These were given out in volumes to GI’s and were inspected on guardmounts, in ranks inspections, and just for general purposes if your Sergeantdidn’t like you! I picked up this stackin the mid 70’s.
