First Pattern M1943 in beautifully maintained but worn condition with field repairs, fraying, loose threads here and there, etc. Only minor faint discoloration, really great patina. Bought this jacket out of a military estate years ago. Issued and worn in combat. Label is partial and unreadable but still installed in right bottom pocket. There is also dark staining inside that pocket (photographed) but not visible outside. The other pockets are basically clean.
Measurements listed in photos and no size tag remains, but I’d put this at a vintage 38, for what it’s worth!
Chest across - approx 21”
Length - approx 30” from top of collar down center of back
Sleeves - approx 24.5” from top of shoulder down outside of sleeve
Shoulder seams across the back - 19”
Note that the internal string waist cord is still included, intact, and functional (rare!).
A lovely example and not easy to come by these days!
