The 140BT Benchmade Nimravus, designed by AllenElishewitz, features a 4.5 inch drop point fixed blade made of ATS-34 stainlesssteel, .115 inches thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 59-61, a spine swedge tolessen weight, non reflective BT2 finish, and a notched thumb ramp for securegrip.
The Nimravus has full tang construction for strength, contoured black G10scales for comfort, and a lanyard hole. A molded black Kydex sheath withmovable steel clip for left or right side carry is included. The Benchmade140BT Nimravus Knife has an overall length of 9.5 inches, and it weighs 6.2ounces; 12.2 ounces with the sheath. Proudly made in the USA circa 1999.
This model was made in the first runs of the Benchmade Nimravus Knife and is a hard-to-find collectible. It is the only one we know of that is available on the internet that has a plain edge; the others we have seen have a combo edge (partially serrated.) This model is almost impossible to find.
