David Winter Triple Oast, mould one re-release RARE: $135.00
- The Roof Flags: Notice the horizontal white wind vanes (or cowl flags) attached to the top of the coned kilns. These wind vanes / flags are incredibly fragile and are frequently broken off or missing entirely on the secondary market.
- Landscaping: The base modeling is simpler and cleaner, featuring a distinctive light cream/sandstone colored stonework base without landscaping in the remodeled version.
- Coloring: Features classic warm tan/terracotta tones on the conical roofs.
🏷️ What This Diamond Label Tells Collectors - The 10th Anniversary Celebration: In 1991, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Regions Series (which launched in 1981), David Winter re-released a limited run of the original Triple Oast mold with the iconic white cowl flags.
- The \"Guild of Master Craftsmen\" Text: The bottom border reads: \"a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen\". The studio brought back this exact phrase for the anniversary run to match the original sentiment from a decade prior.
- The Shape Matters: The diamond shape is incredibly distinct. Standard 1980s pieces used block rectangles or ovals, while the diamond label immediately tells an experienced buyer that they are looking at a specific 1991 commemorative release. The 1991 version was made to look exactly like the original, plain 1981 mold because it was specifically released as a nostalgic, historial replica to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the \"Regions\" series. In the collectibles industry, when a company puts out an \"Anniversary Edition,\" the goal is to recreate the piece exactly how fans remembered it when it first launched. By rolling back to the plain mold and printing the Guild of Master Craftsmen text on the diamond label, the studio was intentionally signaling a return to David Winter\'s roots as a humble, independent British studio artisan.
