David Winter Triple Oast, mould two 1985 with all vane intact RARE: $55.00
This is a \"Transitional First State\" printing of the 1985 Restyled Mold.💡 The Mystery of Your Flags ExplainedWhen David Winter redesigned the Triple Oast in 1985, he added the climbing ivy textures, deep green moss landscaping, and darker charcoal/brown tones. However, the studio did not eliminate the fragile white cowl flags on day one of the new mold. The Overlap Period (Your Piece): For the first few production batches of the new 1985 ivy-covered design, the workshop continued to manually glue the plastic cowl flags onto the conical peaks. The Final Removal: Because shipping breakages continued to plague retailers, the studio eventually altered the production line completely to leave the coned tips blank and smooth. The color of the felt base tracks the timeline of the studio\'s manufacturing shifts: - The Timeline: David Winter Cottages originally used green felt on the bases of their earliest 1980s releases. Around 1985 and 1986, the John Hine Ltd. workshops began shifting over to grey felt bases for many of their production runs.
