Department 56 Historical Landmark Collectors Set, 70 Pieces For Sale

The story behind this beautiful display of Department 56

These pieces belonged to my mom. She ran a Hallmark Card and Collectible Gift Shop for many years, doing their displays, purchasing and advertising. It was a lovely shop full of gifts for the most particular people in your life.

One entire wall of the store was lined with enclosed glass shelving, all lit up and filled with every piece of Department 56 the company ever made. It drew not only customers, but families and children from all around just to take in the miniature villages of days gone by, eras and generations we will never see again, and historical places we may never get to visit.

When my mother passed away five years ago, most of the pieces were sold off as a lot, but, I wanted to hang on to a few of my most favorite pieces, to help me remember her and how beautiful she made everything. These pieces have been on display on top of my cabinets, as it was the only place I had room for them. Now, the cabinets are being moved and they will no longer have a place, except in my heart.

They do not belong in a storage box.

They are meant to be seen and loved.

I have included a new package of bulbs and all wiring works perfectly. I used a master switch to turn them all on at once, but each house has a roller switch on the cord.

These pieces at original cost would be over $1,800.00

Many of them are for sale on Replacements, Ltd., and still would cost over $1500.00

They need a loving home quickly, so I am selling the lot for $250
