Heavy Cast Plaster with Terracotta finish...

The light colored material visible beneath the surface wear is consistent with heavy cast plaster,often finished with a terracotta finish, likely to mimic an original work.
The piece is numbered #25 or 25 indicating a limited number produced,and resembles works by artists like Octave Gaillard-Sansonetti.(I have included a couple of works by Octave Gaillard-Sansonetti for examples, and perhaps dating.)
Sadly, the signature (if there) has it has been so damagedand any other information is a mystery to me -except that my father was an avid collector of all things French,especially putti, and these were in his extensive collection.Intended for Tabletop or Shelf display.These Putti figures with their endearing embrace,are an original decorative collectible piece for art enthusiasts.
