Very Nice Early LL Bean Hudson Bay Axe in great condition. Head measures 5 3/4\" wide and has an undamaged 3 1/2\" edge. These were made by Snow & Nealley out of Bangor, Maine back in the late 1930\'s, and is featured in their catalog of that year. It has its original Snow & Nealley \'Our Best\' 22 1/2\" hickory handle in minty condition. It even has a \'fawn\'s foot\' base to keep it from flying outta yer hand! Head is stamped \'L.L. Bean, Inc. Freeport, Maine\'. Underside of the head is stamped \'1 3/4\', and the overall weight 9Including the handle) is 2 Lbs. 8 Oz. This small Ax DOES have a former owner\'s initials (very neatly) stamped onto it - W.G.C. The only thing lacking on this fine vintage ax is a leather sheath, easily acquirable if so desired. It\'s hard to find an LL Bean Ax like this in original condition, so make this nearly 100 year old Beautiful LL Bean / Snow & Nealley Ax yours today and have all the braggin\' rights!
