Vintage tin advertising thermometer for Eastern Fuel Co., located at 233 Broad St., Summit, N.J. The phone number is listed with a “CRestview 3-0006 / 0007” exchange, a telephone naming convention common in the 1950s before all-number dialing took over — a nice detail for dating this piece.
The thermometer has a light green painted tin face with black lettering, a dual Fahrenheit scale running from roughly -50° to 120°, and its original glass mercury/alcohol tube down the center. Measures approximately 13” long. The thermometer appears to still function based on the reading shown in the photos.
