Eddy Varekamp – Swimmers, 1998 – Art PostcardOriginal Art Unlimited postcard featuring Swimmers by Eddy Varekamp.Swimmers in varied poses move through a densely patterned field of blue waves, with a large diving figure commanding the center and partially cropped bodies extending the action beyond the frame. Vivid red silhouettes contrast sharply with the blue-and-white ground, while two round red forms provide additional focal points amid the flowing pattern.Crisp contours, simplified anatomy and flat areas of color give the composition a bold graphic character. The irregular wave motifs create a lively visual rhythm around the figures, reinforcing the impression of constant movement and lending the scene an energetic, playful mood.Details:
